Sunday, January 26, 2020, marks the 194th anniversary of Julia Dent Grant’s birth. At 11:30 a.m., the Grant Monument Association will place a wreath at Grant’s Tomb, after which birthday cake will be served in the overlook pavilion across the street. Park Service staff will be on hand between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for all who come to learn about the life and times of Mrs. Grant, say happy birthday to the former first lady, and sign her birthday card.
