Access to the lower crypt area of the Mausoleum is subject to closure during wet and or low light conditions in the late afternoon. The main floor and the two reliquary rooms remain open during these conditions.

Park Closure Due to Inclement Weather
General Grant National Memorial will be closed 2/7/26 and 2/8/26 due to extreme cold. The projected daytime temperature for New York City on Saturday is 25°, real feel -3° and Sunday 16°, real feel -2°. The temperature inside the mausoleum is expected to be extremely cold and for health and safety reasons staff will be relocated to other sites both days.
